It is a pleasure to announce that the VII World Congress on Depressive Disorders has already taken place in the City of Mendoza in the dates 19-21th of August 2010 and it has been a great success. All members of the organization would like to express our deepest gratitude to the participants (more than 2060 registrations!), who were very enthusiastic and filled all rooms at every session. We had a high level of scientific interaction between the disciplines of Neurosciences and Medical Humanities, generating a very stimulating atmosphere for discussion, especially for young professionals, who always found answers to their inquiries. This Congress has gathered together speakers from 22 different countries and we are very happy with the result. In the months to come, we are planning to publish on this website some of the most distinguished works that have been presented. Right now, we leave here our goodbye until the VIII Congress.

Once again we are in contact with you, this time to invite you to participate in the VII World Congress on Depressive Disorders and the International Symposium on Post-traumatic Stress Disorders.
The topic of Post-traumatic Stress Disorders has been chosen for the International Symposium of this VII Congress given the great incidence that this psychiatric pathology presents in our society, undoubtedly related to the different profiles that characterize our current culture. We believe that academic and scientific discussion on post-traumatic stress disorders in the scope of this congress, with the participation of relevant professionals in the field of Mental Health from diverse scientific centers from around the world that have committed their presence, will offer valuable contributions to strengthen and update preventive and therapeutic strategies in relation to the topics of this Congress: Depressive Disorders and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders.
All aspects related to the topics of the congress have been taken into account in the preparation of the scientific program, ranging from genetic-biological to psycho-social aspects, in order to establish discussion forums in the field of neurosciences and medical humanities and to accomplish, thus, the goal of giving a better life quality to the people who suffer this condition.
We are working with the usual responsibility and dedication to receive you again in August 2010 and offer you the possibilities of a meeting for scientific and social enrichment.
We hope to see you then,

Dr. Jorge Nazar, President.
